Collective Soul - Dosage Tour - July 7, 2012

This past weekend I had the wonderful pleasure of seeing my favorite band of all time - Collective Soul. I have been a mega super fan for decades now and this was my 7th show. This one was in Atlanta at The Tabernacle, which used to be a church, now converted into a bad-ass concert hall. The acoustics are AMAZING!

The players were: Myself, Krystal, Larkin, Justin, Michelle, Michelle's Mom Cindy, Whitney and Kyle.

There really isn't much to say about the concert that can properly describe the awesome, so I shall leave you with some pictures

After said concert, we went to a local bar around the corner and proceeded with our consumption of the adult beverages. We had taken MARTA down to the concert and they quit running trains at 1:30, so we left the bar with ample time to catch the last train out. While walking to the train station, I spotted with my drunk  little eye a very familiar person...it was mutha fucking Ed Roland - lead singer of Collective Soul. Also known as my husband. He just doesn't know it. And he is married with kids and stuff. But whatever. (Also, Neil Peart from Rush is also my husband, but they don't know about each other, so it is OK)

I met Ed 11 years ago at an outdoor concert, he and the lead guitar player, Joel, were just walking to get something to eat and I was about pissed myself I was so excited. So excited I was shaking vigorously. I also forgot to get autographs and a picture with them; however, I remembered to take everyone else's picture. FINALLY, REDEMPTION! And because I was 17 sheets to the wind, I wasn't shaking and was considerably calm and collected considering the situation.

We are discussing what to name our child. Just kidding, we were actually talking about my boobs.
No, really, we were. (Turns out he doesn't sign skin)

This was seriously a major awesome moment in my life. There is nothing like meeting someone that you hold in high regard and I have been such a fan for so long, this really made my year!
